Mississippi has recently succeeded in effecting some much needed tort reform. In our enthusiasm for tort reform and our popular dislike for lawyers, however, we need to remember that not all tort cases are frivolous and not all tort lawyers are ambulance chasers. We need to be careful not to throw the baby out with the bath water. We also need to start worrying about the criminalizing of politics and the eagerness of some prosecutors to wage class warfare in the courts. The buttons below will lead to position papers on the law.
